How do I book an Appointment?

Services can be booked by calling or texting our front desk staff at 919-847-2590, or through our skin&tonic app, available on the App Store. You can also email our specialists at info@skinandtonicraleigh.com. You can also book online by clicking HERE

Wait... what? You have an APP?

Yes! We HIGHLY recommend you download our skin&tonic app from the App Store where you can easily rebook your appointments, change your appointments and remember what products you have purchased, etc. It links directly to your account in our software and is very user friendly. (online booking is temporarily suspended due to covid-19 and the need for additional sanitation times)

I've never had a facial with you before, what do I need to do?

First off, we can't wait to meet you! We ask that you arrive a few minutes early as our front desk staff will gather a little bit of information from you. You are welcome to bring any products or medications you are currently using or taking for us to review. You can come with a full face of makeup if that's your norm, or with freshly cleansed skin. Either way is fine. No rules there. Best option on our menu is "The 60 minute Biologique Facial" and we add extra consultation time for your first visit. We only ask that you come ready to relax and open to learning about your skin. Oh, and best to book at a time you don't mind climbing into a warm bed...;)

Which facial should I book? Theres so many choices!

You are always welcome to call or email ahead of booking your appointment and speak to an esthetician if you're unsure what to book.  If you book a facial and your esthetician feels another option is a better fit for you skin, she will absolutely recommend the change. If you haven't seen us before, but have done microdermabrasion elsewhere and want to jump in with a Dermasweep treatment or "The Peoples Choice" facial, by all means, sign up!

Will I break out after my facial?

If you haven't had a facial in a while, or you're breakout prone, breaking out after a facial is always a possibility. Be clear with your esthetician if that has happened to you in the past, and we will do our best to alleviate that. Some amount of purging is normal, its healthy and its not entirely uncommon if you're breakout prone. Best to do any workouts or sweat inducing activities before your facial and not for 24 hours after, that is often a big contributor to post facial breakouts. Also best to plan for your facial with allotted time before a big event or work presentation. Breakouts generally would show up within 2-5 days post facial if they were to happen. We also highly recommend our homeware regimens so you're not re-introducing potentially pore clogging ingredients immediately post facial.

How often should I get a facial?

For facials we generally recommend every 4-6 weeks. This may vary if you're targeting a specific issue within a specific timeline... ie. getting ready for a wedding or photoshoot. Our Dermasweep treatment plans often require a series of every 2-3 weeks for the first few treatments so your esthetician may make that recommendation for you.

What type of wax do you use?

We use both hard wax and soft wax, always gentle and always clean. Our wax is a source of pride and joy, it really is the most gentle we've ever used. You can always request a particular type of wax if you have a preference, our face waxing is generally all done with hard wax. We also never double dip our wax sticks. No cooties at this joint.

I always break out after waxing, what can I do?

We do our absolute best to prevent this from happening. We use witch hazel to purify the skin and can also use our high frequency machine to help tone redness and stop the possibility of a post wax breakout. Best to let your esthetician know if that has been a problem for you in the past. You always have the option to tweeze the brow, lip or chin areas. Its in your best interest, if you are breakout prone from waxing or facials to also do any workouts or sweat inducing activity before your appointment and not for 24 hours after.

What if I'm running late for my appointment?

A phone call or text if you're running late is greatly appreciated. Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed an extension of their treatment time but we will always do our best to accommodate. Please do not let us be the cause or reason of a stressed driving situation, be safe and we'll do our best to make it better once you arrive.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! Our gift cards are very popular, giving the gift of healthy skin and downtime is always much appreciated. Gift cards can be purchased through our website *here* or in our store during working hours. (Tuesday thru Saturday).

What is your cancellation policy?
